Course Overview
BTEC National Diplomas are qualifications that are designed to provide specialist work-related qualifications in a range of sectors. They give learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare them for employment. This course is divided into 18 units of study.
The course will also develop your practical skills and is an appropriate and relevant foundation of knowledge and skills for the study of science in higher education.
The National Diploma in Medical Science award follows the Edexcel syllabus studying 18 units over the two years
Who is it for?
This course is for those that feel ready to study in a more adult environment and have the self discipline and enthusiasm for their chosen subject. It offers a specialist qualification that focuses on particular aspects of employment within the sector.
Study Options
You will study FULL TIME which means attending college for approximately 14 hours a week, spread over several days. The programme will consists of 18 units and may include key skills qualifications.
How will I be Assessed
You will produce a portofolio of evidence consisting of a number of assignments per unit. These will include written , oral or practical tasks.
